Supporting Those Who Serve: ExtraCarry Donates to Life Safety Training Event in Colorado Springs
At ExtraCarry, we believe responsible concealed carry goes hand in hand with training, preparation, and community service. That’s why we’re proud to support organizations and individuals who dedicate their time to keeping others safe.
Recently, we had the opportunity to contribute to a Life Safety Christmas Gathering hosted by a church-based security and safety team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The event brought together trained volunteers, instructors, and safety-minded individuals for fellowship, education, and appreciation—an important reminder that preparedness is about people, not just equipment.
From Everyday Carry to Community Leadership
The connection began when Stan Crane, a firearms instructor and the Director of his church’s Life Safety Team, reached out to share his experience with ExtraCarry. Earlier this year, Stan began carrying an ExtraCarry magazine pouch for his SIG P365XL, and it quickly became part of his everyday carry setup.
What stood out to us wasn’t just his feedback on the product—but how he applies the same standards of reliability, discretion, and readiness to the people he trains and leads. With a Life Safety team of approximately 30 members, Stan plays a key role in ensuring that volunteers are equipped, trained, and prepared to respond responsibly.
Supporting Training Through Practical Giveaways
For their annual Christmas gathering, the Life Safety team organized door prize giveaways made possible by donations from companies across the personal safety and training community. These included items and experiences such as:
-
Concealed carry and holster gear
-
Less-lethal personal defense tools
-
Firearms training and range passes
-
Local business and restaurant gift certificates
ExtraCarry contributed gift certificates to be used as door prizes, allowing multiple team members to experience discreet spare magazine carry for themselves.
Our goal wasn’t promotion—it was participation. Supporting training-focused events like this aligns directly with our mission: helping responsible carriers stay prepared without sacrificing comfort or concealment.
Why Events Like This Matter
Church and community safety teams operate in unique environments. Their focus is prevention, awareness, and readiness—often without recognition or visibility. These volunteers train regularly, give their time freely, and carry a serious responsibility.
We’re honored whenever ExtraCarry gear becomes part of that ecosystem.
Preparedness isn’t just about what you carry—it’s about how you train, how you think, and how you serve others. Events like this reinforce those values and strengthen the community as a whole.
Thank You to Those Who Step Up
We’d like to thank Stan and his entire Life Safety team for what they do week in and week out. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support their event and look forward to continuing to stand behind instructors, safety leaders, and everyday carriers who take responsibility seriously.
If you’re part of a training group, safety team, or organization focused on responsible concealed carry and preparedness, we’re always glad to hear your story.
